FOREIGN LECTURER OF ACCOUNTING AT THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
VIETNAM NATIONAL UNIVERSITY, HANOI
I. INTRODUCTION
Established in July 2002, the International School - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (IS-VNU) is one of the first higher education institutions to offer joint international training programs. Our mission is to produce highly qualified human resources in order to meet the requirements of national and international labor markets on the basis of creatively applying advancements in education, science and technology to Vietnam’s cultural environment. IS-VNU offers a number of joint international undergraduate programs conducted in English, Russian, French and Chinese, as well as graduate programs such as Master of Business Administration (MBA), Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA), Master of Finance, Banking and Insurance (Vietnam & South East Asia) Master of Market Research and Marketing Decision Making, Master of Science in Information Management (MIM) and Master of Accounting and Finance (MAF). IS-VNU also offers short courses in various fields of studies and cooperates with many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to conduct research projects and scientific seminars.
Due to the demand of rapid expansion, we are looking for ONE (1) full-time talented, skillful and experienced foreign lecturer of Accounting. Let join us to develop your career and contribute to our success.
II. JOB DESCRIPTION
2.1. Requirements
• Be a native of an English speaking country;
• Possess a minimum of an MA in Accounting, and/or a professional Accounting degree;
• Experience in college/university teaching is preferred.
2.2. Major Responsibilities
• Teach, in English, Accounting and Business Studies related courses in undergraduate and graduate programs internationally affiliated with universities in English-speaking countries (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and Malaysia);
• Supervise students’ research projects, theses and/or graduation papers;
• Participate in research and development, conferences/seminars and training workshops.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
• Annual after-tax salary: Paid in Vietnam Dong equivalent to USD 30,000 (it is likely this amount is tax-free in your country; please check with your tax advisor if necessary);
• 09 (nine)-days paid public holidays and one-month paid leave per year;
• Free minimum health insurance (regulated by the Vietnamese government.
